Christmas Living Room Tour

I wish it was Christmas all year:)

I have been on a White kick all year!! I just want everything white!

It all started last year with these fluffy white stockings that I picked up at Target for 75% off!! I hade to dig to find four of them though.

To break up all the white I went with natural touches. You can never go wrong with nature!

I hot glued tree bark to this $1.50 letter form from Michael's.

I made the faux fur tree with left over fabric from DIY'ing our tree skirt. I bought a yard of faux fur from Joann's Fabric for $15. It was better than the $40+ price tag on all the ones I liked.

I made some wooden tag ornaments and used a sharpie on the wood ones and painted some with chalkboard paint.

I finally got my hands on a mini pallet and I used it to anchor the stockings and it kind of feels like a fireplace.

The End:) For now....

DIY Fabric Garland {$0 Cost}

We recently through out a leather sofa that had seen better days. The leather had gotten so bad that I put a couch cover on it and it got us another year out of it....when the new puppy thought the couch cover looked yummy and chewed several holes in it.

I was about to trash the couch cover too when I thought the fabric had some good spots left to it.

Fabric Garland it was!

I had some old pajama pants that ripped.....and I stashed away thinking the same thing.....could be useful some day.

Sorry for the bad "during" photos. I have gotten really lazy with the "in progress" shots!

Just rip as many pieces of fabric you would like. Once you have the strips fold it in half and bring the loop part from behind your string and pull the two flaps through and pull down. That will attach your fabric pieces in a nice flat way.

Couch Cover

PJ Pants

I used the seam of the couch cover to tie all the strands to.

Love when my vision works!!

Total project cost a big fat $0!!!

You don't always need to spend money for something new:)

Predator Halloween Costume

My oldest son has had a fascination with "Predator" from the Alien vs Predator movies for years!!

This year he asked to be predator for Halloween and I couldn't let him down!

The mask was bought off of Amazon and that is about the only thing you can buy in a child size besides some hands.

I slowly started piecing the costume together:

1. Armor is made out of cardboard, hot glue and paint.
2. Scull with Spine and Mesh Nylons are from Party City.
3. The Hair is yarn, Hanging Skulls and Chain are from Michael's on sale! With some paint on the skulls:)
4. Hand Piece and Mesh Shirt are from the Dollar Tree!! With some tweaking:)

Cardboard painted armor.

Armor made from cardboard and hot glue. I then painted it all and sewed elastic to it.

That "hand armor" piece is a set of two at the Dollar Tree as are the knifes. I broke apart the handle on the knives and cut little slits in the arm piece to hold the "blades" add some hot glue to hold it all together and you have an AWESOME Arm Blade!

Hope you all hade a great Halloween!!
